3rd Place in WPPI's Annual 16x20 Print Competition
When I went to the award ceremony for WPPI's Annual 16x20 Print Competition, I arrived with a good sense that I would be celebrating that night; by my back-of-the-envelope calculations, I had earned enough points to reach my Master's designation within the organization, definitely an achievement worth celebrating. When the announcer called my name for receiving 3rd Place in the Animal Portraits category for my image entitled "Exposure", however, I was so surprised and overcome with excitement that I almost fell out of my chair!
Incredibly, this is my second year in a row to receive 3rd Place in this category!
WPPI's annual print competition, which is judged each year in Las Vegas during their convention, is one of the most prestigious print competitions in the world, (one of the only ones still around, period). All the sweeter to receive awards - 4 Silvers and 1 Silver Distinction.
Thank you so much to the judges for receiving my work so warmly, and congratulations to all of the other winners!
