Dark Skies of Arizona
This past week, I had scheduled to attend a Lightning and Monsoon Photography workshop in Arizona. Strong storms are the norm there this time of year, so I had expected that we would be chasing storms all day and night trying to get some great photos of lightning against the desert landscape.
Unfortunately, there was a uncharacteristic dry-spell for most of my time in Arizona, but flexibility is key, so instead we drove out into the middle of nowhere, where there are no city lights in sight, and we photographed the night sky.
Eventually, we did encounter one storm that provided some beautiful, electric scenery too, which was icing on the cake. Here are some photos from the adventure.
