I was thrilled to learn this morning that I am a finalist and the first runner up in the 2015/2016 La Grande Photo Awards in the Wild Life category!  The international panel of judges has given my entry, entitled "Commuting" in this competition*, the prestigious "High Distinction" designation.

This image was created in Antarctica in December 2015 and was captured with a Canon 5DSR. It has also recently earned a Silver Award in WPPI's Annual Print Competition.

My winning entry will be eventually be published in the gorgeous La Grande PHOTO book and featured on their website!  This is such exciting news!

I am overjoyed with this result and evermore anxious for my next trip, which is to the Arctic in June!

Thank you, Judges!
