Upcoming Lecture at UM Flint

Come join me on November 1 at the University of Michigan - Flint, where I will be presenting to undergraduate students in their new Green Chemistry program. My lecture will address the complexities of discussing STEM topics with audiences that have little or no education in STEM fields.

Communicating long-term scientific and environmental ramifications to local populations can be tricky, especially when there is a culture of immediate survival, as is often the case in developing countries.  Photojournalism is a powerful method of communicating these stories and issues to sympathetic first world audiences.  Can scientists also use it to help inform people on the dangers of living in such close proximity to waste?
