Imagery from Chile & Bolivia Part 3
The title of this post is a little bit deceiving, because at this point in the trip, we had returned to Chile for good, and spent one last day in Valparaíso photographing the wall art before heading back to the United States.
There were a lot of mishaps that led to a fairly frustrating day, which is why I have only just now decided to blog about it. The bus driver got very lost, the tour guide kept trying to take us to the tourist places in which they received a kickback (as opposed to the locations we wanted to go), and not fewer than 10 random strangers told us to put away our equipment lest it be stolen. People in our group who speak no spanish kept wandering off on their own in one of the most dangerous cities in South America. Couple that with the added factor that I hadn't seen my family in a few weeks; I really just wanted to go home. Our day trip to Valparaíso was such an annoying experience that for the last two months I barely even looked at the photos. I hate it when a great trip ends on a low note.
But despite all of the needlessly hard work associated with the last day, I appreciate that I was able to take photographs of some pretty spectacular wall art, some of which will be available at Gallery Stock in the next couple of months.
